Bort-les-Orgues to Allanche

We got an early start due to the terrible forecast of thunderstorms...which we started to hear just before reaching Condat. A few kilometers after Condat, there was a lot more thunder, but we were lucky in that the rain, while constant, was relatively light. We got wet, but not soaked.

D979/D679, which we were on for the entire ride, was a wonderful low traffic road for its full length. And much of the scenery was excellent, especially after Marcenat when we got into the high meadows. Sadly, that was when we were most getting rained on, so no photos of this area.
