Castres to Lavaur

A great route on very lightly trafficked roads. We started out on a bicycle path that took us out of Castres. We found it after crossing the Agout River, which runs through Castres, and were rewarded with a pretty good, though unpaved, path that was a rails-to-trails project. As a result, we had an easy exit from a reasonably large town. Fortunately, given that it had rained a lot overnight, the trail was still in good condition with no puddles or water-filled potholes that had to be avoided. Our tires and bikes got a little dirty, but not badly.

The remainder of the ride was mostly flat on excellent roads with little traffic. Scenery was OK.
