Göttingen-MackenröderSpitze-Harzblick

From Göttingen to peak 'Mackenröder Spitze' and view tower 'Harzblick' and back to Göttingen.

From Treuenhagen the way ascends (steeply) first. Then you follow partly paved, partly graveled lanes in the woods to the 'Kerstlingeröder Feld'. Here you can enjoy the view over wide meadows (km 7).

After km 10 you follow a quite narrow trail in the woods. If you want to avoid this narrow trail you can use the wide alternative route at the marked point.

Admire the steep cliffs when you follow the breakline. Don't miss the view tower 'Harzblick' that gives you a view to the 'Brocken', the highest peak of the Harz mountains 45 km northeast.
