À propos de ce tour

From Frostburg, Maryland to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Great Allegheny Passage is a long, mostly traffic‑free ride that’s perfect for a relaxed tour or a big weekend push. The route sticks almost entirely to dedicated cycleway, with only a few very short on‑road links. Expect mostly unpaved, loose‑gravel surfaces with some paved stretches sprinkled in, so wider tires make the day a lot more fun. There’s real climbing and descent along the way, so pace it and enjoy the changes as you roll from western Maryland into the city. It rides well in either direction, and navigation is straightforward: just follow the continuous path. Pack plenty of water and snacks, set a comfortable rhythm, and settle in for a classic point‑to‑point ride to Pittsburgh.
