This is the first day of a 38 day North American transcontinental bicycle ride I will make in January and February of 2015.
Almost 40 miles/a little more than 60 kilometers from dipping the tire in the Atlantic Ocean at Atlantic Beach, Florida then through the urban hell (including a major freeway bridge) of Jacksonville. The last 12 or so miles/20 kilometers of the day are on the paved Jacksonville-Baldwin Rail Trail.

I use this after leaving the LA Fitness gym. I'm just kind of meandering now, trying to find a decent route that isn't in the middle of Florida traffic. I really wish there wasn't a fence up there at the southern terminus of Hannah Park, otherwise it'd be an even more enjoyable ride.
