Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Taibao à Tainan

This cycling route takes you from Taibao down to the heart of Tainan City—an awesome way to experience a slice of southern Taiwan! Starting in Taibao, home to the impressive Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum, you’ll wind your way south for about 79 kilometers. Most of your ride will be along dedicated cycleways and quiet access roads, so it's pretty chill with minimal busy traffic. You’ll get a bit of a workout too, with around 300 meters of gentle ascent—nothing too crazy.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy a mellow countryside atmosphere, passing through small towns and plenty of farmland before rolling into the historic city of Tainan. Known as Taiwan’s oldest city, Tainan is packed with temples, street food, and centuries-old culture just waiting to be explored (and tasted!). It’s a great mix of scenic pedaling and discovering cool places at both ends—don’t forget your camera!
