Most of the path is on paved surfaces, but keep in mind a portion is on unclassified surfaces, so it’s best to have a trusty bike and perhaps some puncture repair gear. As you approach Banqiao, you’ll enter New Taipei City’s vibrant, bustling suburbs; Banqiao itself is known for its lively night markets and transport links—perfect for grabbing a snack or catching a train home.
