Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Gwangmyeong à Séoul

Hop on your bike in Gwangmyeong, a lively city in Gyeonggi Province just outside of Seoul, and set off towards the heart of the capital. This route is just under 29 km, so it’s a solid ride, but most of the way is nice and bike-friendly with over half of the path on dedicated cycleways and quiet roads. You’ll gently climb and descend several times (about 380 meters up and down), but nothing too intimidating, with the highest point sitting just under 100 meters.

As you pedal into Seoul, you’ll feel the energy shift—this is Korea’s bustling capital, teeming with history, culture, and amazing eats. While potion of the surface detail is missing, you’ll mostly encounter smooth asphalt, so bring your city bike or road bike for a comfy ride.

Top tip: Start early to beat the crowds and reward yourself with a coffee near Gwanghwamun on arrival. If you’ve never cycled into Seoul before, this route is a perfect way to experience the transition from the suburbs into the vibrant city center!
