This route takes you from leafy Ealing in West London right across town to lively Kennington, just south of the Thames. You’ll start among Ealing’s classic Victorian terraces and parks, then head east on a mostly paved and asphalt path—about 27 km in total. The ride uses plenty of dedicated cycleways (over 65%), so you can cruise comfortably and avoid most traffic. There’s a little patchwork of surfaces (some paving stones and a few missing bits), but it’s mostly smooth going.

Expect some gentle climbs early on as you edge up to around 66 meters in elevation before a bit more descent into central London. You’ll pass sights like historic Hammersmith and possibly brush near Buckingham Palace if you opt for a scenic detour! Once you roll into Kennington, you’re in a lively neighborhood known for its Oval cricket ground and close proximity to the South Bank and Westminster.
