This ride takes you from Almondsbury, a charming village just north of Bristol known for its iconic church on the hill and picturesque views, down to Mangotsfield, a suburb with a surprising amount of greenery and easy access to the Bristol & Bath Railway Path.

The route covers about 28 km, making it a decent ride for a morning or afternoon out—great for stretching your legs! You'll start with some gentle hills (expect a bit of a climb, about 250m of ascent), but most of the journey sticks to cycleways and quiet roads, letting you enjoy the ride without too much traffic. Surfaces are mostly paved or asphalt, so your wheels will have a smooth time.

As you approach Mangotsfield, expect things to flatten out, and you’ll catch glimpses of the old railway line and lots of tree cover. The route’s a nice blend of countryside views at the start and leafy suburban paths at the end—perfect for a relaxed day out on two wheels!
