Starting at Hoek van Holland, famous as Rotterdam’s “gateway to the North Sea” with wide sandy beaches and historic WWII bunkers, you’ll pedal northeast, mostly along smooth, dedicated cycleways (yep, about 92% is bike path!). The path weaves through dunes, laid-back Dutch towns, and stretches of green countryside.

With a total distance just shy of 90 km, this is a satisfying day-trip for any cyclist who loves variety—expect some gentle climbs (the tallest bump on your trip is a modest 17.5 meters) and an ever-changing view.
