This cycling route takes you from the heart of Amsterdam, known for its iconic canals and vibrant city life, all the way to Hoek van Holland on the North Sea coast. Covering just under 90 km, it’s a fantastic day ride—mostly flat and predominantly on dedicated cycleways (over 90%!), making it safe and comfortable for most cyclists.

You’ll cruise out of Amsterdam’s bustling center, quickly trading cityscapes for wide-open Dutch countryside. Expect plenty of classic sights: windmills, fields, and maybe even some grazing cows. The majority of the journey is on smooth asphalt, though watch out for the occasional section of paving stones or unmarked surfaces.

Your destination, Hoek van Holland, is famous as a major ferry port—gateway to the UK—and is also a great spot to stretch out on the beach or grab a drink with a sea view after your ride. Overall, a chill, scenic adventure connecting two very different sides of the Netherlands!
