This easygoing ride takes you from the lively lakeside town of Zell am See to the cozy village of Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße. You’ll pedal just under 7 km, mostly on quiet roads and smooth cycleways, with a gently rolling profile—very manageable, with only slight ups and downs.

Zell am See is well-known for its crystal-clear lake and views of the mountains all around; it’s a classic base for outdoor trips in the Austrian Alps. From here, you’ll ride south, with about 80% of the route on paved and asphalt surfaces. There’s a short section (around 19%) where you’ll hit some gravel, but nothing too rough for a hybrid or road bike.

The ride is peaceful, mostly away from traffic, and you’ll find yourself winding through stretches of alpine countryside and farmland.
