Starting in Villach, a city known for its charming old town and lovely riverfront on the Drau, you'll head northwest, mostly along quiet roads and cycleways that hug the Drau River. The route is mostly paved, though there are a few short stretches of gravel for a touch of adventure!

Expect gentle rolling terrain with a manageable ascent, perfect for most riders. Along the way, you’ll pedal past picturesque villages, farmlands, and perhaps spot some of the region’s famous alpine peaks in the distance.
