This scenic ride starts in Schärding, a picturesque baroque town on the Inn River, known for its colorful historic square. Your route to Neuburg am Inn is about 9.4 km and promises a bit of everything: around 200 meters of ascent, some rolling hills, and a mix of surfaces—so a hybrid or gravel bike is a good choice.

You’ll set off on mostly quiet roads and some comfy cycleways, winding through the countryside. Expect stretches of both paved and unpaved sections, with the occasional gravel bit to keep things interesting. The scenery is lovely, with views over the Inn and patches of forest and farmland.

When you roll into Neuburg am Inn, you’ll spot its impressive castle perched above the river—a perfect spot for a photo or a picnic to finish your ride. Both Schärding and Neuburg have cozy cafés if you want to refuel. All in all, it’s a great short escape with just enough elevation to get your legs working but not wear you out.
