Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Lend à Bad Gastein

This beautiful cycling route kicks off in Lend, a small town nestled in the Salzach valley known for its peaceful atmosphere and mountain backdrop. You’ll pedal south along mostly quiet, paved roads, gradually climbing through lush, rolling scenery. Be prepared for a solid ascent—over 650 meters!—but the crisp alpine air and views make every push worthwhile.

Around halfway, you’ll follow stretches of tranquil paths and the occasional cycleway, always with the dramatic Hohe Tauern mountains rising in the distance. The route takes you past little villages and forested patches until you make your way into Bad Gastein. Arriving in this famous spa town feels rewarding: perched dramatically on a hillside, Bad Gastein is famous for its belle époque charm, waterfall right in the center, and healing thermal waters.
