This scenic cycling route kicks off in Arnoldstein, a charming Austrian town nestled at the tri-border point of Austria, Italy, and Slovenia—famous for its ruined monastery and spectacular mountain views. From here, you’ll follow a mix of smooth cycleways and quiet roads as you pedal southeast towards Kranjska Gora in Slovenia.

The route covers about 44 km with some serious ups and downs—the total climb clocks in at almost 1,500 meters, so get ready for a real workout! You’ll wind your way through alpine valleys, skirt along rivers, and pass through lush forests, with the Julian Alps making a dramatic backdrop.
