This scenic cycling route takes you from the charming city of Aalst to vibrant Ghent, covering around 43 km almost entirely on paved surfaces. Starting in Aalst, famous for its lively carnival and beautiful medieval buildings, you’ll quickly find yourself pedaling along a mix of dedicated cycleways (over half the route!), quiet rural roads, and the occasional access road.

As you leave Aalst, the landscape opens up to classic Flemish countryside views—think wide fields, little villages, and plenty of wind in your hair.
