Hop on your bike in picturesque Potsdam, known for its grand palaces and tranquil parks, and set out toward Berlin’s famous Tiergarten. This roughly 37 km ride weaves you through leafy suburbs and along scenic paths, mostly on smooth asphalt with a bit of cobblestone charm (but not too much to jar your teeth). You'll gently climb and descend around 200 meters total—nothing too demanding—making this a perfect route for most cyclists.

About half of your journey is on dedicated paths and cycleways, keeping traffic at bay while you enjoy the changing scenery: lakeside views, historic bridges, and eventually the cultural buzz as you approach central Berlin. Arriving at the Tiergarten, you’ll find yourself in the city’s green heart—a sprawling park surrounded by museums, the Brandenburg Gate, and lively cafés.
