Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Malchow à Waren

This ride takes you from the lakeside charm of Malchow to the vibrant town of Waren (Müritz). Starting in Malchow, known for its unique “floating” lift bridge, you’ll pedal north-east across rolling Mecklenburg countryside. The route is just under 28 km, so perfect for a half-day adventure.

Most of the journey is on quiet roads and smooth paths—expect plenty of lakes, forests, and open farmland along the way. There are a few gentle ups and downs, but nothing too challenging (total ascent around 119 meters). Surfaces are mostly paved or asphalt, though you’ll hit the occasional patch of paving stones or gravel—so a hybrid or trekking bike is ideal.
