Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Immenstadt im Allgäu à Oberstdorf

This cycling route takes you from the charming town of Immenstadt im Allgäu down to Oberstdorf, right in the heart of the beautiful Allgäu Alps. Covering just under 24 km, the ride is scenic and mostly peaceful—most of your journey will be along quiet paths and gravel cycleways, with gentle ascents and descents that keep things interesting but manageable for most riders.

Immenstadt is known for its old town flair and lakeside views (Großer Alpsee is just next door), and Oberstdorf is famous as a winter sports hub and for its jaw-dropping mountain scenery. Along the way, you’ll cruise through green meadows and forest tracks, with the Alps ever-present in the background. About two thirds of the surface is unpaved or gravel, so a sturdy hybrid or gravel bike is a plus.

It's a fantastic route for getting away from busy roads and soaking in true Allgäu vibes—just remember to pack a snack and maybe stop for a photo or two!
