Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Bad Füssing à Schärding

Roll out from Bad Füssing, the Bavarian spa town famous for its thermal baths (perfect for a pre- or post-ride soak), and head toward the Inn River. From here it’s easy, mostly flat cruising with around 24 km of gentle riding and only ~50 m of total ascent. The route sticks largely to quiet roads and riverside paths, with mostly paved surfaces and a few short gravel stretches—fine for most bikes.

You’ll trace the Inn’s floodplain meadows, often atop the levee with wide views, and then cross into Austria near the finish. Schärding welcomes you with its baroque old town and the colorful “Silberzeile” houses lining the main square—an excellent spot for a coffee and pastry by the river.

Expect a relaxed, family-friendly ride with minimal traffic and plenty of river scenery. Don’t forget some ID for the border just in case (checks are rare), and enjoy the roll into one of Upper Austria’s prettiest towns.
