Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Barth à Stralsund

This ride takes you from the charming town of Barth to the historic Hanseatic city of Stralsund—a perfect ride for anyone who loves a bit of seaside atmosphere and classic North German scenery.

Starting in Barth, known for its pretty harbor and proximity to the stunning Bodden lagoons, you'll pedal mostly on smooth paths and quiet roads. The terrain is super gentle, so you can really soak in the rural landscapes, reed fields, and the occasional windmill without breaking too much of a sweat. About 90% of your route is paved, with most of it being lovely, cyclist-friendly asphalt. There are a few patches with paving stones and concrete, but overall it's easy rolling.

You’ll pass through small villages, open fields, and get the feel of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern’s wide, open skies. The final stretch brings you into Stralsund, where the red-brick Gothic architecture and UNESCO-listed old town are a real reward. Don’t miss the iconic city gates and the famous Ozeaneum if you have some spare time!
