Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Szob à Vác

This scenic ride starts in Szob, a peaceful little Danube-side town right at the Slovakian border. From here, you’ll follow the Danube bend southwards, pedaling along mostly smooth, dedicated cycle paths (over 70% of your ride is on cycleway!) and quiet roads—making this perfect for a leisurely day out or even a family outing.

With just under 35 km to cover and barely 100 meters of ascent, it’s a gentle journey. You’ll breeze by riverside forests, charming villages, and catch gorgeous views of the river curling through the hills. The route is almost entirely paved—mostly lovely asphalt and some concrete—so you don’t have to worry about rough surfaces.

You’ll finish in Vác, an elegant Baroque town known for its café-lined square and stunning cathedral. Don’t forget to reward yourself with a stroll along the Danube promenade or a coffee in one of the historic town center’s cute spots! All in all, it’s a relaxed and beautiful exploration of the Danube’s best.
