Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Komárom à Esztergom

This ride takes you from Komárom, a historic border town on the Danube known for its impressive fortresses, all the way to the picturesque city of Esztergom, the spiritual heart of Hungary and home to the country’s largest basilica.

Covering around 67 km, the route is ideal for a full day out on the bike—most of your journey will glide along smooth asphalt cycleways and quiet roads, hugging the river, so you can soak up views of the water and rolling countryside. Elevation is gentle with only about 115 meters to climb—so no tough hills, just a steady, scenic cruise.

Make sure to pause in Komárom to check out the star-shaped fortress before setting off. Rolling into Esztergom, you’ll be greeted by the stunning skyline of the basilica perched above the river. There are plenty of spots here to relax and grab a coffee with a view before heading home.
