This is a super pleasant cycling route along the southern shore of Lake Balaton, connecting the charming town of Balatonföldvár to Siófok, the region’s buzzing “capital.” Starting in Balatonföldvár, known for its stately villas, yacht harbor, and lovely promenade, you’ll roll out on almost entirely smooth asphalt, making the ride a breeze even for casual cyclists.

You’ll mostly stick to quiet roads and dedicated cycle paths, with barely any hills (less than 10 meters of ascent!) — perfect for soaking up those Balaton views without breaking a sweat. The route hugs the lakeside much of the way. Don’t be surprised if you feel tempted to hop off your bike for a lakeside photo or an ice cream in one of the small villages you’ll pass.
