Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Litoměřice à Ústí nad Labem

This ride takes you from the charming historical town of Litoměřice northward to the bigger city of Ústí nad Labem—both set in the lush landscape of northern Bohemia. At just under 28 km, it’s a mellow day trip for the average cyclist, with gentle ups and downs (roughly 190 meters up, 208 meters down) making it accessible for most.

You’ll cruise past vineyards and rivers, following mostly paved surfaces—including long stretches of actual cycleway and quiet countryside roads. There’s a bit of paving stones and occasional gravel, so a hybrid or touring bike is ideal.

Litoměřice itself is worth an early start: it’s one of Czechia’s oldest cities, packed with colorful squares and Gothic-Baroque architecture. When you reach Ústí nad Labem, reward yourself with a view of the Elbe river, maybe from the castle ruins or the quirky Střekov Castle. With river views, rolling countryside, and minimal busy roads, it’s an easygoing but scenic day out on the bike!
