This 65 km cycling route takes you from the elegant city of Trento to the charming Bolzano, following mostly paved cycleways along the lush Adige River valley. Expect very gentle climbing, with just 244 meters of ascent—ideal for a relaxing pedal rather than a sprint!

Both cities are rich in history: Trento is known for its Renaissance architecture and the famous Council of Trent, while Bolzano boasts a blend of Italian and South Tyrolean cultures (and is home to Ötzi the Iceman!). Most of your journey rolls along the dedicated Etschtal Radweg cycle path, flanked by vineyards, apple orchards, and dramatic mountain views. With nearly the entire route on smooth cycleways, you’ll be free from busy traffic and able to soak in the scenery.
