Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Ferrare à Bologne

This route takes you from Ferrara to Bologna—a classic ride connecting two gems of Emilia-Romagna. Starting in Ferrara, a UNESCO World Heritage city famed for its Renaissance walls and cycling-friendly streets, you'll head south through the flat Po Valley. The route covers just over 101 km and is mostly on paved surfaces, with a generous stretch of dedicated cycleways (over half!). Expect a chill ride, with only gentle ascents and a max elevation of about 72 meters.

You'll glide past quiet roads and pretty countryside, maybe catching glimpses of small villages and farmland. The ride ends in Bologna, known for its medieval towers, delicious food (try the fresh pasta!), and lively student vibe thanks to the world’s oldest university.
