This cross-border cycling route takes you southeast, meandering through Slovenian hills before dipping into the rolling countryside of Croatia’s Istrian peninsula.

Expect about 68 km of varied terrain, mostly on paved and quiet roads, with the occasional gravel stretch—so a sturdy bike is your friend. There’s a nice balance of uphills (about 765 meters of climbing) and long descents, and the route’s max elevation is just over 100 meters, so it’s doable if you’re reasonably fit.
