Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Kranjska Gora à Ljubljana

This is an epic point-to-point ride starting in the picturesque alpine town of Kranjska Gora and winding your way south to the lively Slovenian capital, Ljubljana. The route covers just over 110 km and offers almost 1,800 meters of climbing, so be ready for some solid hill work and stunning mountain views.

You’ll roll out from Kranjska Gora, famous for its ski slopes and access to the Julian Alps, cruising on mostly quiet roads (about 60%) and a solid stretch of dedicated cycleways. There’s a mix of surfaces—with the majority nice and smooth asphalt, but a few gravel sections to keep things interesting.

The ride features plenty of descending once you’ve tackled the main climbs—perfect for coasting into Ljubljana. Take some breaks to soak in the scenery, especially when you’re high up: you’ll reach just over 1,000 meters at your max elevation.
