Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Curicó à Teno

This fun ride takes you from Curicó, a vibrant town nestled in Chile’s famous wine region, all the way north to the chill town of Teno. The route is just under 40 km and mostly flat, so it’s perfect if you want to kick back, spin your legs, and soak up the vineyard views.

You’ll spend most of the ride on paved roads (a mix of asphalt and concrete), though about a quarter of the surface is missing or uncertain—so expect some surprises along the way. There are stretches of quiet rural roads and even some cycleways, with only a few busier sections. The soft climb at the beginning (just over 100 meters of ascent) won’t trouble you, and the max elevation is less than 300 meters, so you’re never gasping for air.

Curicó is well-known for its wine festival and beautiful plaza, so if you have time, grab a local empanada before setting off. Roll into Teno, a mellow agricultural town, maybe in time for a late lunch—and don’t forget to look back at the Andes on the horizon!
