Get ready for a fun city ride from Independencia down to the heart of Lima! This roughly 10 km route kicks off in Independencia, a lively district in Lima’s north—known for its busy markets and local vibe. You’ll pedal mostly along cycleways and quiet roads, so it’s generally a relaxed journey, with only a short stretch on busier streets to keep you on your toes.

The route is mostly flat, with just about 95 meters of uphill and nearly the same descending. You’ll cruise past a mix of neighborhoods, getting a taste of everyday Lima, and gradually work your way toward the historic city center. The last stretch brings you into bustling Lima—Peru’s capital and the country’s cultural hub, teeming with colonial history, vibrant plazas, and plenty of spots to grab a post-ride snack.

Watch for rougher patches along the way, as some sections aren’t fully paved. But all in all, it’s a great way to explore Lima on two wheels!
