Bikepacking de Tallinn à Riga

This long ride connects the vibrant Estonian capital of Tallinn with the lively city of Riga in Latvia—a classic Baltic adventure! You’ll start your journey in Tallinn, famous for its fairy-tale Old Town and medieval towers. From here, you’ll head south through the quiet Estonian countryside, enjoying a mix of quiet roads, scenic tracks, and the occasional cycleway.

The route is mostly flat (max elevation just over 116 meters), but there are enough gentle climbs to keep things interesting. Surfaces are a mix—some stretches are smooth pavement, but you’ll also find plenty of rustic gravel and the odd unpaved section, so a sturdy touring bike or gravel bike is a smart choice.

As you cross into Latvia, the scenery shifts to gentle fields and forests before you roll into Riga, a city bursting with Art Nouveau buildings and buzzing cafés on the Daugava River.
