Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Sfântu Gheorghe à Braşov

Looking for an awesome ride between two Transylvanian gems? This route takes you from the tranquil town of Sfântu Gheorghe, known for its strong Székely Hungarian heritage and relaxed vibe, down to the lively city of Brașov, nestled at the foot of the Carpathians with its cobblestone old town and iconic Black Church.

You’ll cover just over 50 km, with a respectable bit of climbing (over 550 meters!), so get ready for some hills and scenic views. The journey is a mixed bag: about a third on quiet roads, some gravel and tracks, and a bit on busier stretches, so it’s best suited for an adventure-ready bike and riders who don’t mind a bit of rough surface. Keep an eye out for countryside villages, rolling hills, and—when you get closer to Brașov—a preview of the stunning mountains beyond.
