Here’s a relaxed ride from Otopeni to central Bucharest, covering about 36 km. Otopeni is best known as the home of Henri Coandă International Airport—the main gateway if you’re flying into Romania. From there, you’ll pedal south towards the capital, rolling mostly on quiet roads and cycleways (over half the journey), with just a couple of short stretches on busier roads.

The route is mostly paved or asphalt (over 70%), so a road bike or hybrid is ideal; just watch out for a few unpaved or gravel patches.
