Excursion à vélo d’une journée de Braşov à Predeal

Get ready for an adventurous ride from the lively city of Brașov to the mountain resort town of Predeal! Starting out in Brașov—a medieval city famous for its Black Church and fairy-tale old town—you’ll soon leave the urban buzz behind as you wind into the Carpathian foothills.

This 26 km journey promises a real workout, with over 1600 meters of uphill climbing (don’t worry, thrilling descents await too!). Most of your ride follows quiet roads and paths, sprinkled with sections of gravel and unpaved trails—so a sturdy bike and some fat tires are a good idea. Along the way, expect dramatic forest scenery and maybe even glimpses of the Bucegi Mountains.

After the climbs, you’ll roll into Predeal, the highest town in Romania, known for its fresh mountain air and as a winter sports hub. Take in the panorama before grabbing a well-earned coffee or pastry in town!
