This scenic ride takes you from the charming lakeside town of Augustów to the bustling regional hub of Suwałki, covering just over 48 km through the lush landscapes of northeastern Poland. You’ll roll north on a mix of quiet roads and dedicated cycleways—about 55% of the ride is on smooth pavement and asphalt—plus a healthy dash of gravel and old paving stones that add a bit of adventure.

Expect gentle hills, with about 250 meters of climbing (nothing too dramatic), and enjoy the wildlife-rich forests and sleepy villages along the way. The area around Augustów is famous for its canals and water trails, so don’t be surprised to catch a canoe or two gliding by. As you get closer to Suwałki, the urban vibe picks up—Suwałki is the largest city in the region and often called the “gateway to the Suwałki Region” or “Polish cold pole” because of its chilly winters.
