Elsass: Rouffach - Kruth

This route we took in 2 days, with an overnight stay in Sondernach, which is higly recommendable. On both halves of the route are some pretty steep parts, up to maybe 10% in the beginning, and up to 12% for the 10km after Sondernach. Then follows the Route des Crêtes, a lovely stretch wich is largely more or less flat, but on top of the hills, with views in all directions. We took the route down to Kruth, where you can catch a train to Mulhouse. In stead, one can stay up and continue the flat road Route des Crêtes further up north.

All in all a beautiful experience.

Note: Between Soulzbach-le-Bains and Metzeral the drawing might not be accurate, but we followed the bicycle signs to Metzeral. They are fairly well marked, go only over paved roads, and the route escapes the main road completely.
