2013 Ride Day 13 - Couiza Circle throu Puivert and Quillan

 

The initial part of the ride along D12 was quite a gentle climb before our fast descent into Puivert, where we stopped for a snack before tackling the much steeper climb south of Puivert.  Up until D613, our principal route was perfect low traffic road.  D613 was excellent, but it did have some traffic, though not much such that it should deter us from using it again in the future.   The descent from the Col de Coudons into Quillan was once serious downhill, fast and for the most part not technical.  And the vistas of Quillan and the valley in which it sits were spectacular.
