An attempt to link some of the longest/steepest grades in Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties into the shortest route possible. There is very little flat terrain on this route.

Up Bohlman/On Orbit (steep!)

  • down Montevina

  • up Bear Creek

  • down Zayante

  • over Quail Hollow (a hill, not a hollow)

  • up Alba (steep, long!)

  • down Jamieson Creek (technical, sketchy)

  • up China Grade (gorgeous redwoods)

  • down Hwy 236

  • up Hwy 9 to Skyline (mellow end to the day)

  • down Hwy 9 to Saratoga
