Starting from Palomares you head north across the rambla and around the back of Las Herrerias to the old mining area of El Artea.  There is a short technical climb before heading down to Los Lobos.  Up the main road and at the summit take the ditch to the right.  There is then 5km of varied downhill to the beach at Pozo del Esparto.  Then its back to Villaricos along the coast road.
