Caraorman - Crisan and back

The route starts from Crisan. Crisan can only be reached by boat on the Tulcea-Sulina ferry route.

 

The first half of the route is a smooth gravel road. In the latter part the road becomes very rocky. There is a path parallel to the road and the track shows this path.

The track only reaches Caraorman village. The Caraorman forest cannot be reached by bike because the path becomes very sandy.

 

Note that the Caraorman channel needs to be crossed. This can be done with a floating platform by pulling the guidance cable. However, if the platform is on the other bank you will not be able to cross since the pulling device is missing.
