Apple tree drive loop for kids

This pleasant short loop suitable for children can be started anywhere along the bike path. When my eldest daughter (a keen bike rider) got her first bike with gears at 7 years old, it was our favourite ride. She rode on the footpath up Taylor st, but learned to ride on a road with a few cars along Cookes rd with me riding behind giving instructions where necessary: "don't ride in the ditch" or "a little bit closer to the edge". Obviously she had good control of the bike and brakes before we did this. Climbing the bike path along Rockvale without stopping was a challenge rewarded with a stop for a biscuit when we got to a tree at the top of apple tree drive.
