La voie verte is very nice along the Meuse. The ascent until Arreux is quite long and not so interesting as you go through the forest. The road through Houldizy seemed to have a clear view on the surroundings so I would recommend the ascent through Houldizy.

Jemeppes Bruxelles

The Ravel path along the Sambre river is nice between Jemeppe and Châtelet. Then you go through the forest along an old railway until Courcelles, very nice too.
Then until Bruxelles you follow the canal.

Between Rance and the lake, you go throug little towns, up and down. Nice.
The first lake (platte taille) is very nice. Goes up and down a bit.
The second lake is not so nice as the first one but ok, goes up and down a bit more.
