This ride takes you from the historic city of Ingolstadt, famous as the birthplace of the Illuminati and home to Audi, all the way to the vibrant university city of Regensburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the Danube. It’s about 95 km, making it a solid full-day adventure.

You’ll roll through a mix of landscapes—think quaint villages, open fields, and sections of woodland—gaining and losing around 800 meters in elevation along the way. Most of the route keeps you away from traffic, with about 45% on bike paths and 27% on quiet roads. Surfaces are mostly friendly, but expect a good portion of gravel; a solid touring or gravel bike is ideal.
