Lobelia Loop

A short but very scenic ride.  With over 2,000 of climbing in the first 13 miles, it is a good workout for the legs.  The four short but very steep climbs between Ceasars Mt. and Droop Mt. State Park are hard.  The two climbs of Droop are longer, but manageable.

I had 25.2 miles on my Garmin after going out to the Lookout Tower on Droop Mt. and 2,811 ft. of climbing.

3.8 Top of first climb at Ceasors Mt. Community.

4.9 Intersection with Russell Scott Road.  You can take this across to the Park and avoid 4 short steep climbs and anothr climb of Droop Mt.

Steep Downhill on narrow road.

6.6 Short STEEP climb.

8.1 Begin short STEEP climb.

9.2 Begin short STEEP climb.

9.9 Begin short STEEP climb.

10.9 Continue left on Lobelia Road.  Jacox road dead ends.

11.7 Begin second climb of Droop Mt.

13.0 LEFT on 219.

14.1 Second entrance to park.  You will find a water fountain at the Lookout Tower.  If yo make the climbs, you might as well enjoy the view!

16.6 RIGHT on Locust Creek Road.

18.7 LEFT - Locust Creek Covered Bridge is just to the right of this intersection.

18.7 LEFT An immediate left onto Co. 31.9 and begin short climb.

20.7 Intersectionwith Denmar Road.  Continue Straight.

24.4 Finish in Lobelia.  <br />
