Get ready for an epic ride from Gries am Brenner, a charming mountain village right near the Austrian-Italian border, all the way down to beautiful Brixen (Bressanone) in South Tyrol! This 61 km route packs in classic alpine vibes, following mostly smooth tarmac (about 90% paved).

Don’t be fooled by the downhill profile though—there’s still around 1,250 meters of ascent as you climb rolling hills and navigate a few punches before a whopping 1,800+ meters of descent, most of it on super-scenic cycleways and quiet roads. You’ll cruise through lush valleys, forests, and catch glimpses of the dramatic Alps, with a sprinkle of gravel to keep things interesting.

At the finish, Brixen welcomes you with its stunning old town, colorful piazzas, and plenty of places to rest your legs over a well-deserved gelato or espresso. If you have a little time, check out the historic cathedral or stroll along the River Eisack that runs right through the heart of town.
