Jednodniowa wycieczka rowerowa z Muggia do Piran

Set off from the charming Italian town of Muggia, tucked just south of Trieste on the edge of the Adriatic. From there, this 28 km ride winds northeast, taking you across the border into Slovenia and all the way to the historic seaside gem of Piran.

Expect some ups and downs along the journey, but nothing too daunting—the max elevation is about 156 meters. Most of your ride rolls along smooth asphalt and peaceful cycleways, with just a sprinkle of gravel and unpaved sections to keep things interesting. You’ll also pedal past vineyards and olive groves, with glimpses of the sparkling sea and, if you’re lucky, the distant Alps.

The route is mostly quiet roads and dedicated paths, so you can really settle in and enjoy the scenery (just be ready for a brief stretch on busier roads). Finish up in Piran, a gorgeous old Venetian town famous for its narrow streets, Tartini Square, and those postcard-worthy sunsets over the Adriatic. Don’t forget to reward yourself with some fresh seafood by the harbour—you’ve earned it!
