Über diese Route

The KVR Runs are not all seamless. You will notice the break in Summerland, BC, is a few miles away to head to Princeton, BC. Likewise going south, then north through Penticton, BC.

This is the only seamless route to Penticton on the Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) Trail. I traveled this route using a mountain bike. The trail is mosly hard and gravel. Some sandy parts. Very little shade exists in this section of the KVR.

Travelling in the afternoon in July during sunny days will require water and sun screen. Good to have a protein bar as well.

I spotted many dead gardner type small snakes, some alive, they are harmless. It's this season. Also spotted a huge brown feathered eagle which flew away from the sage brush under the hot sun. If you miss Nevada , this is your run.

Expect July tempertaures to be in the high 20's to mid 30's Celcius. (About 85-95 F).
